The armband on television is not automatically your C. Tag the player who will see the most cricket tonight.

The other innings. Do not put the whole house on one armband.
Captain (2×) should be the player most likely to touch the ball and the scorecard. An opening batter versus a new-ball attack on a true pitch is a different job from a spinner on a used surface. The television armband is not automatically 2×.
Vice-captain (1.5×) is the other half of toss luck. If you captained a batter, VC a bowler who will bowl through the middle — or the reverse. Do not stack both tags on the same innings unless the surface is truly one-way.
